In Your Hands
Creating work flow for a moblie app
Background
This concept for this app came to form the notice of the growing popularity of second-hand shopping. After evaluating the market, it became apparent that there could be more successful apps on the market, to make second-hand shopping more accessible. By viewing other competitors, and their users, I was able to see what made a second-hand app/ website a highly functional one.
Problem
When looking at the scope of the market, it seems like there was a missing app out there for second-hand shops that was honest and put the customers first. I try to create an app that would fill a gap in the market that could ideally function for the customer to know exactly what they are getting at a reasonable.
Research
For the first part of the research process I looked into the copetors to see the layout of the UI, what problems they ran into, what user didn't like about each app.

During the research process, the first thing conducted, "is who was going to be using this app." There are two different user types, the buyer and the seller. Both the buyer and seller would have different uses for the app.
When conducting further research, I did two forms of data collection. First, I did a pool on Instagram that was done anonymously. The Survey had multiple questions asked to reach a large number of people on what they want and how they feel about second-hand shops. (multiple choice).
There was a total of 65 people
9 males
56 females
Ages between 19 to 25
The other form of data I received was from interviews. I conducted two interviews to gain more insight into people's thoughts on second-hand shops.
From these findings, it seemed that people would like more second-hand options, but these options would need to be reliable and protect the buyers.

Ideation
From gathering the information, I mapped out my ideas. This helped me understand what the app would entail and what features would best suit what the user needs as well as want.

Personas
I wanted to form a deeper understanding of our users' goals, needs, experiences, and behaviors. So, I created a persona that is based on user interviews and surveys, and we kept updating them throughout the project as we gathered more data. I used these personas whenever I wanted to step out of myself and reconsider our initial ideas.

User Flow
As part of the project, I was to create a user flow. I decided to showcase the flow of the buyer going through selecting an item and the transaction process. This was done to further show how the app would move and how simply it could be used.

Wireframes
Using Miro, I created my low-fidelity wireframes. These wireframes in Mrio translated some other ideas as well as mappings that I thought may fit the app. Then, I expanded on some of the ideas I had for my first wireframes. I then went on to translate my low-fidelity wireframes to Figma, as I found them more suited for me. I made several revisions to better my wireframes. These Wireframes we more cohesive with what my user flow entailed, then presented my revision to my peers to get constructive criticism. With this critical work, I was able to further my work into high-fidelity prototypes.

Solution
With the critics of my peers, I was able to make changes to better my app. There were issues involving the flow of the ability to add items to bags. I also had some issues with how I fit things on the page. I realized from my peers less is more. Spacing was a big issue that I had to fix throughout the process. Early on in my wireframes, you can tell that I wanted to put a lot on one page, but later we see that some of the information is decreased
